This is an Azurite from a new find at Malbunka Copper Mine, Areyonga, Northern Territory, Australia. This one is very attractive specimen with "square -shaped" electric blue rosette clusters on white clay matrix, providing a stunning contrast.
The Malbunka Copper Mine produced Azurites about 30 years ago, and they are now recovering new specimens found in layers in a two meter seam which occurs at the top of the deposit.
A very nice specimen of a more recently formed mineral from the run off at the Planet Mine, but it is more naturally formed versus the lab grown Chalcanthites from Poland. Stunning electric blue color.
Note: Store in a dry place or container with dessicant (you may have some in your Rx containers). Handle as little as possible, as the crystals are delicate. And wash hands after handlling - Chalcanthite is Poisonous
A fine plate of Quartz var. Amethyst crystals with deep purple tips characteristic of specimens from the Las Vigas location, which is no longer yielding much of these beautiful Amethysts.
Two rather large crystals of Manganocalcite, which
fluoresces nicely under
UV light.
Illuminated by UV from the back side
A terrific vuggy specimen of light blue Chrysocolla and Drusy Quartz from Chile. Presents well from both sides.
Pretty cluster of Green Quartz (Prazym) on Andradite Garnet. The green color is due to inclusions of Actinolite.
Nice specimen of Potassium Sodium Silicon Hexafluoride which has crystallized out from the waste water output from a phosphate processing plant in Florida. Since it came from man-made waste water, it is not considered a true natural mineral, but it appears to be identical to a natural mineral found recently at the Hekla stratovolcano in Iceland. The mineral form of this is now called Heklaite.
Gemmy, dark honey colored Spessartine Garnets richly adorn this attractive specimen.
Botryoidal form of Malachite with a beautiful deep green color.
Blood red crystals of Realgar on nicely contrasting matrix. These are not coming out of Romania in any significant quantity anymore.
Pitachio green clusters of Epidote on a plate of clear Quartz crystals.
Solid plate of golden Chalcopyrite with some adorning white Calcite and minor Quartz.
Glassy reticulated Cerussite crystals nicely set on matrix.
Beautiful, glass clear cubes of lime green Fluorite on matrix.
Attractive plate of very light pink Heulandite crystals.
Pleasing blend of grass green Malachite and purple Azurite.
Butterscotch colored crystals of Selenite aesthetically arising from matrix.
Arsenian Pyrite contains approximately 3% Arsenic. Arsenian Pyrite is uncommon, being found in only a handful of localities. And, this stalactitic form is even more uncommon !!
Stunning plate of glassy Quartz crystals with a number of mini-clusters of silvery Pyrite crystals. In very good condition.
This is a terrific and unusual specimen of numerous golden Rutite needles on Hematiite, which have grown on Volcanic Tuff. Tuff (from the Italian "tufo") is a type of rock consisting of consolidated volcanic ash ejected from vents during a volcanic eruption.
Nice plate of butterscotch tabular crystals of Wulfenite on matrix. Some broken crystals, but a good piece for the price.
This is the first specimen I have offered from Tunisia - a very nice thick, fan-shaped formation of white bladed Barite.

A pretty specimen of Calcite crystals, partially colored light reddisn brown due to Hematite, with brassy crystals of Pyrite.
Gorgeous Quartz and Pyrite combination typical of the Romanian Mines, which have now essentially closed.
This is a fine plate of Smoky Quartz with a pleasing greenish tint. It is natural, i.e., not irradiated !!
Excellent specimen of lustrous, rootbeer colored crystal sprays of gemmy Barite with Sulfur on matrix - from the Ed David Collection.
