A really pretty specimen with a small green botryoidal and dendritic growth of Malachite resembling a plant nestled in a cove under columns of sharp, sparkly, pale yellow Aragonite crystals. The Malachite is a possible pseudomorph after Copper.
Terrific cluster of lustrous, gemmy, compressed rhombohedral Calcite crystals with striated faces and serrated edges on a beautiful matrix of dendritic, botryoidal, olive green Mottramite. In great condition too !
Very attractive specimen with a thick covering of thousands of acicular, chatoyant richly green Malachite needles on matrix.
Sizable specimens of Red Quartz, of good quality and condition, like this one from Dal'negorsk are becoming more difficult to obtain and increasing in value and cost each year.
Rare specimen of Cornetite with a dense deep blue growth of very fine acicular Cornetite crystals yielding an overal botryoidal appearance. Specimen also has minor Malachite.
Strontianite is a rare carbonate mineral and one of only a few strontium minerals. This specimen is covered with clisters of off-white to gray Strontianite crystals.
A stunning Smithsonite with gemmy and sharp scalenohedrons that have a beautiful silky bronze color and terrific pearly luster on a Galena matrix.
The distinct mineral Smithsonite was first described in 1832 and named for British chemist and mineralogist, James Smithson (1754-1829), whose estate financed the Smithsonian Institution.
Aesthetic blue Celestite crystals with a white blush on matrix. Nice quality for the locality.
Appealing triangular opaque white Quartz cluster with a nice sprinkling of small Chalcopyrite crystals.
Deep sky blue Fluorite cubes on matrix from the famous Blanchard Mine. These are essentially unique to the locality.
Simply gorgeous specimen of lustrous green Fluorapophyllite crystals with two perfect equally lustrous white Stilbite bowties on top.
Well formed dark blue to purple Azurite crystals in a pocket of glistening green Malachite.
Interesting Quartz crystal included with white to dark orange clay.
Nice plate of hundreds of small light brown Aragonite crystals.
Very attractive and substantive specimen of Quartz crystals capped with white Calcite with aesthetic aggregates of brassy Chalcopyrite and some Pyrite crystals. This one is much better in person.
Vug lined with light purple Amethyst crystals with a few, varied sizes of creamy white Stilbite bowties.
Sharp, lustrous, brassy Chalcopyrite crystals with Quartz and Sphalerite.
Beautiful white, lustrous Selentite crystal formations on Calcite. Unique specimen.
Beautiful crown of glassy Quartz crystals on a cluster of brassy Chalcopyrite crystals.
Great specimen of sparkly greenish tan Siderite that has replced rhombohedral Calcite crystals. Solid substrate of Galena.
Nice specimen of glassy Quartz crystals with golden, brassy Chalcopyrite and minor Calcite crystals.
Dark green Apatite crystal (6.5 cm) on Feldspar matrix. Repaired as most of these are, but appears to have been one clean break that is nicely repaired.
The Maramures District in northern Romania has been a source of mineral wealth since ancient times. It is a part of a broad belt of mineralization that extends southward into Serbia and northward into Slovakia.
