Gorgeous clear emerald green Fluorite crystals from the Erongo Mountains. The value relates to the unusually rich color, size and condition of this specimen
In the neighborhood of Omaruru, in western Namibia are the Erongo Mountains. Over 60 Million years old, these volcanic ruins elevated to a height of 2300 m and a diameter of 40 KM and are the remains of the once biggest volcano south of the equator. Bordered by steep verges and the rugged interior, it is the abode of numerous wild animals, birds, plants and some farmers who have recognized this unique environment. The mountains are also a source for exceptional minerals such as aquamarine, topaz and fluorite.
Beautiful lustrous butterscotch colored tabular Wulfenite crystals with beveled edges nicely dispersed on matrix. High quality specimens of Wulfenite from this famous mine are getting very difficult to find.
Wulfenite is named for Franz Xavier von Wulfen (1728-1805), an Austrian mineralogist.

Numerous delicate clusters of fine lustrous clear yellow needles of Pyromorphite make up this fine specimen from Broken Hill, Australia.
"Australia is the only country that is also a continent. In area, it ranks as the sixth largest country and smallest continent. Australia lies between the South Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean. The part of the Indian Ocean south of Australia is called the Southern Ocean in the country. Australia is about 11,000 kilometres southwest of North America and about 3,000 kilometres southeast of mainland Asia. Australia is often referred to as being "down under" because it lies entirely within the Southern Hemisphere. The name Australia comes from the Latin word australis, meaning southern. The country's official name is the Commonwealth of Australia." (Click here for source of this quote and more information on Australia".

A new find from the Daye Mine. A sharp and gemmy 3 cm Amethyst sceptred crystal on a plate of Quartz crystals, some of which have a purple tint.
"A Sceptre quartz is a large central rod around one end of which another crystal formed. The smaller version of the scepter quartz is a rod that has a distinctively wider top and a ridge, and a reversed scepter is one in which a small crystal or opaque point emerges from a large base stone."
Very aesthetic specimen with highly modified, light green Fluorite crystals dressing the tips of a sharp and gemmy cluster of Quartz crystals. The specimen is attractive on all sides.

Minor glassy Stilbite crystals are scattered about the matrix surface.
Interesting complex specimen of Calcite, Barite and glassy Celestite with accenting Sulfur crystals from the Machow Mine, which is no longer in operation.
