I have included some photographs of scenes in Japan taken by my Daughter Jesse during her recent stay with me in Japan.
Weld County, Colorado's third largest county, covers an area of 4,004 square miles in north central Colorado. It is bordered on the north by Wyoming and Nebraska and on the south by the Denver metropolitan area. Approximately 4 miles northeast of the small town of Stoneham in eastern Weld County is an area of buff-colored bluffs where blue barite is plentiful in layers of clay.
Beautiful Blue Barite Crystals, some over 5 cm, on Yellow Calcite matrix. These are getting harder to obtain in good quality.
Excellent, totally unrepaired, specimen of a large cluster of fine Amazonite crystals self-collected by George Fisher in 1970. Color of the blue green crystals is wonderful, with a white color on some faces to render great contrast. There is no damage to the crystals.
Amazonite (sometimes called "Amazon stone") is a green variety of microcline feldspar. For many years, the source of Amazonite's color was a mystery. Naturally, many people assumed the color was due to copper because copper compounds often have blue and green colors. More recent studies suggest that the blue-green color results from small quantities of lead and water in the feldspar
These lustrous Stibnite sprays are both on and inside the Calcite crystals. The cluster of terminated Stibnites at the top create a very aesthetic presentation.
Metaphysical Properties: Stibnite helps to keep away the intrusive. Used in meditation, it facilitates undistracted entry into the meditative state. It enhances one's personal energy field, which then acts as a protective barrier to eliminate any physical presence. It may be used to stabilze one's economy and promote the ability to satisfy one's needs.
Very unique and pretty specimen of several gemmy crystals of Smoky Quartz on Quartz inside a partial geode

These "Ball Clusters" of Selenite are great, but getting harder to obtain, especially this size and quality.
Metaphysical Properties: Selenite is a calming crystal that instills peace and is an excellent stone for meditation. Holding a piece of Selenite in the hand is believed to help drain any negative energy from the body, while a large piece of Selenite placed in the house is said to ensure a peaceful atmosphere.
Prismatic Quartz crystals, completely coated (perhaps replaced) by white lustrous rhombohedral Calcite. Very reasonably priced

Unusual specimen of lustrous complex compound crystals of Calcite in a branching formation with a light chocolate color due to rich inclusion of Hematite.

Metaphysical Properties: Celestite promotes purity of the heart and brings good fortune. It helps achieve balance and alignment. The deep peace it holds assists in conflict resolution and in maintaining a harmonious atmosphere in times of stress.
Stunningly attractive formation of clear light sky blue crystals of Celestite (Celestine) from Madagascar.
Metaphysical Properties: Adamite provides courage to step into the unknown, helping bring prosperity through business and helping us to attain material objects. It also inspires fresh, often left field thinking, which allows us to try new things.
This is an intriging "caterpillar shaped" formation of light brown, lustrous Stilbite crystals on white fine Quartz surface.
Simply gorgeous cluster of glassy clear tabular golden Barite crystals on matrix from the famous Meikle Mine.
Heulandite was first separated from stilbite by August Breithaupt in 1818, and named by him "euzeolite" (meaning beautiful zeolite); independently, in 1822, H. J. Brooke arrived at the same result, giving the name heulandite, after the mineral collector, Henry Heuland (1778-1856) [From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).
More unusual red, almost purple, wedge shaped Heulandite crystals with accenting cream colored Stilbite bowties. The red color is believed to be due to inclusions of Celadonite.
Heavy hunk of botryoidal Hematite from Morocco. Makes a nice paperweight.

Nice plate of honey golden Spessartine Garnets. "Spessartine" is named after the Spessart district of Bavaria, Germany.
Spessartine, because of its manganese content, is naturally orange, but iron impurities help give it a more reddish or brownish color. It is not a common Garnet.
Nice, intricate formation of glistening Calcite crystals from the famous locale.

Gorgeous cluster of pink Apophyllite crystals from Mexico !!

Cluster of striated Arsenopyrite crystals, which are completely coated with a thin layer of brassy Marcasite. Also, some associated silvery Muscovite and tiny Calcite crystals. In very good condition. Hard to photograph - much more attractive in person.
Super looking pseudomorph of Quartz replacing Calcite. It has fantastic sparkle !
A pseudomorph is a mineral compound resulting from a substitution process in which the appearance and dimensions remain constant, but the mineral which makes up the chief component of the compound is replaced by another. The name literally means False Form.
