This specimen is from the Silvane collection, which was created over the last 25 years through the efforts of Josep Amigó
(1924-2008).
Devoted to his family, he decided to name his collection the Silvane Collection, which is the result of his linking together the names of his two grand-daughters, Silvia and Ana Elena (whose nickname was Anelen).
John Cornish brings the latest finds of his Rat' Nest Claim to the Tucson Show every year and this one caught my eye, especially the rich color of the Heulandite crystals in wonderful contrast to the white Mordenite. There is a smaller pocket on the opposite side. John said this was the best specimen he had on display with this great color. This is superb Heulandite from Idaho - not India !!!
A beautiful tight cluster of four lustrous blue Apatite crystals (8.5 x 4 cm) on orange Calcite.

Another common mineral, i.e., a form of Mica - but aesthetically this is not common. This is a stunning green to yellow green cluster of flower like Muscovite crystal formations. These only seem to come from Brazil and I never find more than a few good ones at the Tucson Show. It presents nicely on both sides.
