A very pretty specimen of the better quality Rhodocrosite coming out of China. Not quite a match to Sweet Home Rhodos yet, but very nice nevertheless and much more affordable than the sky rocketing prices for Sweet Home specimens.
Another nice specimen of Chinese Rhodocrosite.
An attractive solid plate of green botryoidal Malachite.
Beautiful lilac colored Fluorite crystals on contrasting white matrix, which really makes this a great aesthetic display specimen.
A wonderful lustrous, star shaped cluster (7 x 4.5 cm) of creamy white Calcite sits grandly on an attractive matrix.
Glassy crystals of Cerussite with pinkish white bladed clusters of Barite on matrix.
Blood red crystals of Realgar on contrasting white matrix.
The Mines in Romania are no longer active and good Romanian specimens are getting harder to obtain and prices are increasing.
Lemon yellow Star Muscovite with clear Quartz crystals on matrix.
Beautiful, clear, gemmy amber colored Topaz crystal (2.5 x 1 x 0.5 cm) perched in the middle of parent matrix with a smaller Topaz at it's side.
Specimen from a new find in Namibia with a thick layered Biotite (Mica) crystal attached to Calcite substrate.
Even better in person.
Beautiful plate of glistening light teal colored Hemimorphite.
New from Tucson !! This is a precipitate as a result of the mining activity in the Bone Valley Mining District. It is natural, ie, not lab grown, but has formed in much more recent times than most other mineral specimens. The Mineralogical Record will be reporting on them as something new in minerals. This was one of the few new finds at the 2009 Tucson Mineral Show.
Another more recently formed mineral from the run off at the Planet Mine, but it is naturally formed versus the lab grown Chalcanthites from Poland. Stunning electric blue color.
Nice specimen of glowing Chalcedony. Far better in person.
A lustrous 5.5 x 1 cm double terminated crystal of dark green Apatite sits atop a brownish Quartz Matrix.
.
Stunning plate of light salmon colored saddle shaped rhombohedral twins of Dolomite with some Chalcopyrite inclusions and a lone Calcite crystal in the center.
Gorgeous plate of pastel green Barite blades.
There is a lot of Quartz out there, but this is high quality Quartz from the famous Old Coleman Mine in Arkansas, where the finest US Quartz comes from and, which is among the best in the world. This is a nice Colemen cluster with sharp water clear crystals.
Aesthetic combination of gemmy light green Fluorapophyllite crystals and creamy white Stilbite on matrix.
Honey colored cluster of translucent Selenite crystals. In very good condition.
Rich deep pockets of dark purple Azurite crystals with seams of green Malachite.
Botryoidal grass green Conichalcite.
Beautiful light teal colored Chrysocolla on Drusy Quartz in a vug-like formation. These are hard to find and much sought after by collectors.
Super gemmy amber colored Spessartine Garnets are scattered across a plate of Orthoclase, but the most catching feature of this specimen are the absolutely gemmy clear Smoky Quartz crystals, which are very uncommon for Chinese specimens.
This is something new I obtained at Tucson this year from Jordi Fabre - a vug-like formation of dark lemon colored Pyromorphite, which could be confused with Mimetite. But, per Jordi, it is Pyromorphite.
Jordi is one of the pioneers of internet mineral selling and is a great guy !! He only does one show in the US, the Tucson Show.

Note: Store in a dry place or container with dessicant (you may have some in your Rx containers). Handle as little as possible, as the crystals are delicate. And wash hands after handlling - Chalcanthite is Poisonous
